Shrewsbury are organising a Memorial Match for club stalwart Stuart Lister, who passed away earlier this year after a brave battle against cancer.
The match will take place at Sundorne Castle on December 19 with full details of the event to be confirmed.
Lister played for Shrewsbury and Shropshire before he retired and took up refereeing and progressed to officiating at first-class level.
After he hung up his whistle he became a hard-working volunteer both for Shrewsbury and Shropshire who recognised his contribution to rugby by making him President.
He worked as a solicitor in Shrewsbury and was well known in local cricket circles.
