Rugby clubs in Greater Birmingham will have the chance to get themselves ready for next year’s Rugby World Cup when the 2014 Birmingham Rugby Conference is held at Villa Park on November 17.
The conference has the theme of ‘RWC2015 – Delivering A Legacy’ – and will provide clubs with information on how to make the most of the opportunities presented by staging the Rugby World Cup in England can help them attract more players, coaches, referees and volunteers.
The conference will run from 1pm to 9pm and will include a varied programme of speeches and workshops.
There will be keynote speeches from senior figures in Birmingham City Council, the Birmingham Rugby Partnership and Aston Villa Football Club.
The workshop programme will include sessions on legacy funding, schools, engaging new participants and social media and marketing.

Villa Park will be staging two matches in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the Pool B match between South Africa v Samoa on September 26 and the Pool A contest between Australia and Uruguay, who qualified for the finals last weekend, on September 27.
