Bill Worth has been elected North Midlands RFU’s new Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Worth, of Yardley & District, succeeds Keith Skirving who has stepped down after three years in the post to concentrate on his other county commitments as Chair of Club Support & Development and lead on North Midlands’ Centenary Charity, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
During Skirving’s time as Volunteer Co-ordinator North Midlands have recognised the outstanding contribution made to rugby across the region by those who give their time freely to support and sustain rugby.
Volunteers have been recognised through The NMRFU Annual Awards, trips to Twickenham, watching a number of matches from hospitality boxes at Worcester Warriors and receiving awards which highlight long service recognition.
Earlier this year a series of breakfast meetings were held to discuss and find best practice within clubs.
